The fast food consumption in the UK between 1970 and 1990 is presented in the line graph.
Overall, the consumption of fish & chips and hamburger rose dramatically while the pizza consumption showed the reverse. Also, more people in the UK preferred to consume fish & chips compared to other fast food.
The figures for fish and chips consumption rose steadily from virtually 100 t0 150 grams between 1970 and 1980, a rise of around 50 in a 10-year period. Again, the consumption of hamburger increased slightly by more or less 70. By contrast, a steady decrease was seen in the amount of pizza consumed to just about 200.
By 1990, both figures for fish and chips and hamburger had consumed to incline dramatically. The former chart had shown had tripled increase and reached by far the most popular fast food consumed by British while the later one had increased to almost the pizza's figure in the beginning of the year. After a long period of a steady decline, the one for pizza had re-bounced back to just 200.
