The pie chart explains the significant causes for decrease in production of farming lands globally. While, the tabular data provides information about land degradation in the North America, The Europe, The Oceania for the year 1990.
Overall, Most of the places were affected because of over-grazing. Around, one-fourth of crop lands of the Europe affected in 1990's. The Oceania witnesses zero over-cultivation problem among the three. North America accounts for only small fraction to the overall deforestation.
Firstly, The significant cause of land degradation is by over-grazing which makes about 35%. While, only 7% of farming was affected by other reasons. Finally, Over-cultivation and Grazing together affected the 58% of global cropping land.
It is observed that the 95% of Oceania encountered over-grazing. In the Europe, 9.8% of trees cut down,which is double the times the total land degraded by Norther america and it has only 0.2% of deforestation rate. Only, 5% of North America affected which is the least.
