the number of travelers to different airports in NY City from 1995 to 2000
The graph compared the quantity of passengers coming to three airports in NY City, concluding JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark in the period from 1995 to 2000
Overall, even though the taste of commuter changed slightly, the most preferable airport was LaGuardia. In 1998, there was about 35 million travelers choosing LG airport, doubling the passengers of N. Until 1998, both of them experienced a similar upward trend to 45 of the former and the latter running close at 42. After that, the users of LG continued rising noticeably to nearly 70 million in 2000 while its counterpart from N stayed at the plateau of 42.
As regards JFK, it can be seen that the number of its commuters was unpredictable. Starting at the second position of 27 million in 1995, it climbed steadily by 10 million per year, reaching its peak in 1997. Then, the number of travelers choosing JFK dropped continuously for 2 years to 32 million in 1999 before recovering to 42, just outtaking the figure of Newark.
