A friend has agreed to look after your house and pet while you are on holiday.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter
tell your friend how they can contact you when you are away
give instructions about how to care for your pet
describe other things they will need to do to take care of your house
Write at least 150 words.
Dear Sam,
Thank you for agreeing to house-sit for me while I will be away in London. I am writing to give some guidance on things to be done.
I am going to stay at my cousin's place for two weeks, so if you need to reach me, you can freely phone me and send a message on WhatsApp. All the phone numbers are on a sticky note which I've left on the fridge.
My cat needs to be fed twice a day, and you must feed him with only mashed cat food and warm milk because of his toothache. Also, you will have to take him to a vet for a scheduled appointment next Monday at 10 am; the clinic is on the corner of the street at which my house is.
Besides that, there is not much you have to do at the house. First, water my orchids daily and keep them away from direct sunlight. Also, check my mailbox every day; if you find any letter, except for advertisements, please lay them on the microwave. Finally, for security reasons, make sure you lock the front door and shut the windows when you leave; don't forget to keep the outside lights on for the night.
Thanks again for helping me out. What about catching up for coffee when I return, to discuss how I can repay you?
See you soon.
Warm wishes,
Martha.
