During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants.
Write a letter to this businessman. In your letter,
- Remind him when and where you met
- Tell him what kind of job you are interested in
- Say why you think you would be suitable for the job
Dear Sir,
Hope you have reached your home safely. I am writing to you regarding our conversation about a job opportunity at your restaurant. To be more specific, I was sitting on the window seat next to you on Jet Airways flight to Mumbai on 22nd March 2020.
I remember you mentioned your recent restaurant which was opened in the Bandra Kurla Complex area. Since it is newly opened, you are in search of hotel staff including the Staff Manager position. I gave a serious thought about this role along with the responsibilities and the expectations which you elaborated in detail throughout the journey.
Therefore, I would very much like to apply for this position. Furthermore, I would like to point out that I already have past experience in this field.
I have managed a team of 5-7 members for a period of 10 months. My skills included looking after the timely management of various activities of the hotel and checking on the food quality. Additionally, addressing the customers politely and in a presentable manner. I would be elated if I am given a chance to put forward my talent for this job.
Looking forward to a positive response.
Yours faithfully,
Dimple Patel
