The diagrams below show the site of a school in 2004 and the plan
for changes to the school site in 2024.
The given maps detail the extension plan of a school site for the year 2024 as compared to the 2004 model.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that over the period as a whole, the school population will increase significantly. Also, the school will undergo numerous changes resulting in an extended framework, additional facilities, and improved accessibility.
According to the given illustration, the main building area is located to the north of the map. Initially, with only 600 students, the two buildings are separated by a pathway running from the main entrance to the sports field in the opposite end surrounded by a huge lush green area. However, by 2024, it is planned that the sports field will be replaced by a new school building, which will be connected to the existing infrastructure via a linking pathway. Also, the sports field will be reconstructed to the other end of the new road extended from the main entrance to the new car park beside the newly constructed building.
In addition, a section of the old pathway will be removed to join the old buildings together. Moreover, an improved structure is expected to bring a surge in students' numbers by 400. However, the greener area will remain unaltered.
