The charts illustrate information about the rate of Singaporean citizens participating in education and participants' qualifications between 2000 and 2010.
Overall, both male and female survey respondents showed an upward trend in participating in education over the whole survey period. Moreover, a university degree was considered the highest level. In contrast, the lowest rate was found at the level of Primary School.
Women held 8% at the beginning and then remained relatively constant. While the male population was about 8.5%, it climbed slightly to around 9.8% until 2004. At the end of the period, the female had the same level of the male in 2000. By contrast, the male continued to grow by 2%.
With regard of level of adults, master level and university level accounted for the lowest point in 2000. This figure saw growth of 7.5% and 8.3%, while the figure saw a huge increase of 30.31% and 32,93% in 2010. On the contrary, secondary school and high school enrollment halved from 26.3% to 15.2% and from 32.13% to 15.2%, respectively. The primary school followed, decreasing sharply from 25.77% to 2.1%.
