The bar chart depicts data about the percentage change in several employment sectors of Country B’s economy between 2005 and 2015 and makes forecasts for 2025. It is clear that more people will be employed in finance sector and its share shows continued growth, whereas the opposite is true for manufacturing and tourism. The remaining areas, regarding food processing and oil, coal and gas, will see no changes until the end of the period, although they both witnessed sharp growth in 2015.
With reference to finance industry, its figure is predicted to reach a peak of more than 40% in 2015, after starting at around 32% in 2005, making it the largest share among the total number. In stark comparison, the proportions of manufacturing and tourism prospects will continue to decline during the period shown, from just over 22% to nearly 5% and from a forth to a fifth, respectively.
Interestingly, food processing and fossil fuels match the same trend. Starting at a tenth in 2005, the data of the former rose to reach the highest of 20% in 2015, before falling back to 10% at the end of the period. Likewise, the rate of fossil fuels will have increased to a projected rate of 25% by 2025, falling from over a third 10 years prior.
