The bar chart represents the results of a survey conducted on two types of workers: people aged 18-30 and those aged 45-60. The survey is about factors affecting work performance.
In workers between 18 and 30 years old the most important factor is the chance for personal development with a percentage of 90%. On the contrary, in the group 45-60 the first factor which affects work performance is money with a percentage of about 70%.
The performance of youngers are more affected than those of elders. It can be related to the fact that young people want more security in job, a better position in work and a relaxed working environment. The elder workers have already reached their perfect work position and they do not need a better job. For these people, the most important factors are the respect from colleagues, the salary and the need of a competent boss.
In conclusion, the factors affecting work performance are different between the two groups, related to the fact that the hope and aspiration are different.
