Overall, it is evident that the portion of no car in the UK from 1975 to 2005 witnessed a plummet whereas the opposite was true of the remaining figures, and the percentage of 1 car always ranked in the first in 30 years.
As can be seen from the line chart given, there was a slight decrease of the proportion of 1 car in the UK between 1975 and 1985 to about 38%, while that of no car crashed to almost 25% in 1985. There was a negative correlation between the figure for 1 car and that of no car from 1985 to 2005, in which the former minimally rose to merely 45% and the latter gradually slipped to approximately 23% in 2005.
As far as the line chart is concerned, the portion of 2 cars in the UK always stood at the third position between 1975 and 2005, which was higher compared to that of 3 cars. The figure for 2 cars and 3 cars witnessed a gradual increase in 30 years and reached a peak of about 18% and 10% in 2005, respectively.
