The graph below compares figures for the production and consumption of energy in the US from 1950 to 2000. It also predicts figures for 2025.
These line graphs or polygrams illustrate the number of production and using energy in the USA between 1950 and 2000 and it estimates trends up to 2025 as a whole. It is clearly observed that the data represented by the graph reflect certain interesting fluctuations. In general, both percentages of using and consumption of energy have experience of upward trends. Alternatively, according to graphs ,it is interesting point that the percentage of using energy is higher than producing energy during these years.
Studying the graph in more details, in 1950 ,the percentage of consuming and producing energy is about 28% and 25% respectively. Then, From 1950 to 1975, the percentage of consuming and producing energy has increased dramatically by some fluctuations in first years. After that which means between 1975 to 2000, there is a significant increase in the percentage of using energy with lots of fluctuations by 35% while the percentage of production of energy has grown steady from 65% to 70% . Also ,it is observed that the percentage of using and producing energy will reach to 130% and 90% respectively. Moreover, we can observe that there is little difference between the consumption and using energy in 1950 by contrast there will be a significant difference between them in 2025.
