The pie chart below shows the main reasons why students chose to study at a particular UK university in 1987 and 2007. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make a comparison where relevant.

The pie chart illustrates the fundamental reasons for the students' decision to study at a specific UK university between 1987 and 2007.
We can observe from the pie charts that the degree courses that are appropriate are the most concerning reasons in both years. Meanwhile, the distance from parents' home to school was a matter of concern in 1987. Suddenly, it became a reason to study in a UK university in 2007.
Students choosing to study at universities in the UK to obtain a suitable degree course increased from 35% to 37% in 2007. However, the second reason was that in 1987 the quality of resources decreased from 21% to 17%.
Similarly, there has been a decline in active sports and social activities from 19% to 6%. This is a small set of information to choose a university in 2007. Besides that, students who prefer university near their parents' home have increased by 10% to 20%. Unfortunately, the number of students who prefer university because of the quality of teaching decreased from 15% to 8% at the end of the period.
