Task 1: The maps below show the layouts of nature Museum between 2010 and 2013.
The map describes how the Nature Museum and its surroundings had changed from 2010 to 2013.
Overall, the museum area had undergone many significant developments, except for the dinosaur room and the room which had the ticket desk.
Looking at more details in the left of the diagram, it is noticeable that the parabola-shaped Ocean Hall was expanded to the left. Moreover, the room for mammals next to the ocean hall was extended and converted to the ice age room, the insect room. Besides, lying in the bottom left-hand corner of the museum, the dinosaur room and the one next to it remained untouched.
With regard to the right corner of the map, all trees in the gardens were cut down in order to make way for some new rooms of the museum. The room exhibiting mammals was constructed in the new location opposite to its location in 2010. The human origins display was built to the right of the Ocean Hall. In addition, the shopping area and the café, next to the ticket room, were opened up.
