It is clear from the two figures that men who were in prison were dominant in the research time. Moreover, the male criminal were always higher than other gender in the UK.
In the British systems, the percentage of male prisoner was the most popular, at 96%. While the figure for women was received the least expenditure, at only 4%. There was a disproportion of prison inmates in gender.
For the 20-25 age group, the proportion of offender was the highest of both men and women, at 14% to 16% and 4% to 5% respectively. Men who were imprisoned in the 30-50 age group was higher than women at the same age, about 6 to 12%. By contrast, spending on this item between the 10-15 age group and 55-60 age group was the smallest between men and women, at only under 4% of the total spending.
