The local government is planning to change the bus timetable. You are not happy about the proposed changes.
Write a letter to the newspaper. In the letter
• describe the changes
• explain how that will affect you
• say how you would like the service to be improved
Dear Sir,
My name is Truong Nguyen, who is currently a local resident in district 11. Lately, I have heard that the local bus timetable would be changed next month. Both local residents and I are quite unhappy about this proposal. Therefore, I am writing this letter regarding this matter.
Allow me to address the problem. I have been using the local bus service to travel to work daily at 6 in the morning for almost 10 years. Since my boss is very strict and requires my present at exact 6:30, I do not think I will make it to my destination in time when the bus changes to start at 6:15. Furthermore, I am currently living with tight budget at the moment so apparently I cannot afford other types of transport. Therefore, I hope that the committee will reconsider this plan of changing the bus timetable. In addition, I believe the customers would be much more satisfied if the authority could provide some additional buses due to the high demand of this mean of transportation.
I hope that the committee will reconsider this plan and have a look at my proposal.
Yours faithfully,
Truong Nguyen
