I feel sick last week and I was admitted to hospital due to viral fewer. This took me 5 days to recover and as per my current employer's policy I will have to serve my complete 2 weeks of notice without any excuse. Hence, my absence during the sick period has be compensated by working next week on final handover, knowledge transfer and to bring all my activities to closure before I leave.
I am really glad and excited about the opportunity with your company. However, based on the above circumstances, I request you to postpone my start date to 15/07/2019. This will help me to complete my pending activities.
