The table shows the number of people in Canada in each earning level
The table compares the number of citizens in Canada in each income braket from 2005 to 2009. At first glance, it is evident that the number of people in highest income was the lowest throughout five years.
By 2005, the number of people in the lowest income was the highest, at around 10 million people and this figure decreased to approximately 7 million people in 2009. By contrast, the number of people earning over $150.000 reached just under 500.000 people in 2009, however which increased by nearly 200.000 people from 2005 to 2009.
The number of people earning between $20.000 and $50.000 was not significantly different over five years, with approximately 9 million people in 2005 and nearly 9.3 million people in 2009. The number of people in the next income level rose from 4.6 million people to just under 7 million people between 2005 and 2006, then which slightly increased to nearly 8 million people in 2009.
