The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main feature, and make a comparision where relevant.
The charts illustrate how cement is made and the process of producing concrete from cement in construction.
Overall, there are five main stages in the process of producing cement. Furthermore, cement is mixed with a few other simple ingredients to produce concrete by a single-stage procedure.
To begin with, the process which cement is produced starts with initial raw materials, namely limestone and clay are crushed by a fine power made tow rotating drums and then, they are mixed in a cyclindrical mixer. The next step is that the mixture is fed into a rotating heater and fired by a blowtorch. Subsequently, the mixed power is transferred to a grinder, and it is milled to yield the final cement products, and finally it is packed in bags.
For building purpose, this cement continues to be used for producing concrete in another process. An initial mixture comprising 15% cement, 10% water, 25% sand and 50% graval are fed into a rotating concrete mixer. After that, they are stirred until the mixture is ready for the sake of construction.
