The chart below shows the percentage change in the share of international students among university graduates in different Canadian provinces between 2001 and 2006
The charts give information regarding the percentage change in international graduate students (in the university) who are shared in different provinces in Canada from 2001 to 2006. It is immediately apparent that the general trend was for the share of international students to increase throughout the timescale. In addition, the figure for British Columbia showed its superiority in the proportion change of international graduate students over that for other Canadian provinces.
Regarding the share of international graduate students in 2001, there was a larger percentage of international graduate students shared in the university in New Brunswick, which was accounted for around 7%. Moreover, the second greatest proportion of this section is in Nova Scotia which was listed at nearly 6.5%. This was followed by Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Ontario. While the six former were recorded at 6%, 4.5%, 4.5%, 3.5%, 3.5% each, the latter was noted at 3% -the lowest figure in this year.
Five years later, the percentage of international graduates in the university in British Columbia experienced the largest change, which rocketed dramatically of roughly 6.5%, during the period. At the same time, there were a noticeable change in the share of international students in other Canadian provinces, ranging from approximately 2% to 5%, over 4-year period.
