The bar chart represent the medical research funding on some diseases in someland in year 1990 along with the number of deaths caused by them. The data is calibrated in figures in millions.
The major portion of funds i.e. about 175 million were allotted for AIDS. However, 0.2 million people died from AIDS in same year. Leprosy and tropical diseases were given about 75 million units each while the former took 0.1 million lives followed by latter who killed 0.3 million masses.
Proceeding further, almost 60 million units were credited for diarrhoea which was the reason behind 0.5 million casualties. About 0.4 million people died of malaria whereas, 50 million funds were allocated to the same. T.B was responsible for large number of deaths which were of about 1.8 million people. However, this disease was funded with least sum of funds which were just 20 million units.
Overall, it is clearly depicted that the large part of medical research funds were utilised for AIDS . However, the least sum of money was used for T.B which was the reason for large number of mortality.
