The table below shows the worldwide market share of the notebook computer market for manufacturers in the years 2006 and 2007.
The table demonstrates the percentages of different notebook brands in the computer market between 2006 and 2014.
It is clear that all the brands’ market shares were similar in terms of upward patterns with the exception of Fujitsu’s and Lenovo’s which fluctuated. Overall, HP was the biggest shareholder in the computer market over the period.
In 2006, 31,4% of computar market went to HP, higher than the shares of Dell and Samsung combined. However, HP’s figure increased only by 3% in 2014, equivalent rate of Samsung’s which also grew to only 14.2% from 11.6%. The massive jump could be seen in Dell’s proportion, by 10% from 16,6% in 2014 in contrast to the mighty rise by only 2% of Toshiba’s.
The reversed trend could be observed in the percentage of other brands with the plunging down to only 7.11% in 2014 from the significant of 22.8 in 2006. Additionally, from 2006, the shares of Lenovo and Fujitsu reduced and bounced back to 8.12% and 7.10% respectively in the next eight years.
