You have just moved into a new home and are planning to hold a party. You are worried that the noise may disturb your neighbour.
Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter
introduce yourself
describe your plans for the party
invite your neighbour to come
Dear Fred,
Thank you for your assistance in directing the mail man to my apartment last weekend. Although we haven’t met officially, I already know you’re going to be a good neighbour. My name is Odunayo and I’m the new guy next door. I’m Nigerian by nationality, I work in construction and I’ll be living alone. I should round up my moving in process by next weekend.
In my culture, we like to celebrate every win and so, I’d like to have a house warming celebration to mark my move into the new apartment and for close friends and family members to get acquainted to my new apartment. I plan to have it on the evening of Saturday the 30th of March, 2019. I plan to make and serve only dishes local to my culture. No alcohol would be served and only Nigerian music would be played all through.
If the Nigerian music and culture sounds like something you may be interested in, feel free to hop in anytime from 5pm next Saturday. However, if you would be home, Kindly bear with us if our chatter becomes too loud. The party should be over by 9pm.
Looking forward to seeing you.
Yours sincerely,
Odunayo.
