A family member is coming to stay with you. He/she will be arriving by train in the morning, but you won’t be home until the evening. Write a letter to your relative. In your letter:
– explain the arrangements you have made for them to get keys and enter the house
– tell your relative how to get from the train station to your house
– say when you will be home and suggest what you could do together that evening
Dear john,
I received your letter yesterday that mentions your plan to visit me this weekend. but unfortunately, I have my exams on saturday so I would not be home for that complete day. I will probably reach home around 6 pm, By that time you could do lunch and take rest. I am writing this letter to tell the arrangements that I made for that day.
First of all I am sorry that I could not even come it to receive you at train station as I have to leave around 8 am in the morning. The best way to reach my home is by bus and you can take 11 number bus to providence, my apartment is just five minutes walk away from providence bus stop. I would keep the keys under my patio rug so that you could find them easily,my apartment number is E-114 please do not forget that.
I will try my best to reach at the earliest but most probably I would come by 4 pm, by that time you could enjoy food and do some rest. In the evening we will go for dinner and I have booked a ticket for the movie End Game that we can enjoy together.
I am sorry again for the inconvenience but I hope you understand that the situation is really inevitable. hope to see you soon.
Warm Regards
Harry.
