As a matter of fact, spending the average amount of pounds by each family to their children’s sports starts from 20 pounds in 2008 and there was a gradual increased on these trend and reached up to a peak at about 33 pound at the end of the period. Similarly, football game holds the first position regarding the British children’s preference among the other mentioned games, starting from just above 7.5 million children in 2008 and reached to a high at about 9 million children who got participated at the end of the period. Moreover, in 2008 swimming holds the second popular game among the children in UK, rising from just under the 2.5 million children involvement in swimming to nearly five million children participated in this game, though the growth slowed over the first two years in the question.
It is interesting to note that, athletics were the least popular game in London during the initial period and this trend was than remain constant up to 2010 and showed an upward trend, overtaking that of swimming in between 2010 and 2012 it has stabilized just under 5 million at the end of the period in question.
