The graphs below show the types of music albums purchased by people in Britain according to sex and age.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.
Given are bar charts illustrating data on three music genres (pop, rock and classical) consumed by British men and women of different ages. In general, Rock and Pop are more popular than Classical music which is mostly chosen by people at the middle age and above.
In terms of genders, it is evident that there is a similarity in the purchase of three music types when men buy more products than women. This difference in Pop and Rock is about 10% and 3% in Classical. Nevertheless, both genders prefer the formers more than the latter as the numbers of Pop and Rock consumers are twice as high as the other, which is just about 17% in total.
With regards to ages, obviously, the younger generations tend to listen to Pop and Rock more than Classical music. In fact, approximately 30% of surveyed teenagers and young adults are willing to pay for Pop and Rock products while the figure for Classical music is far smaller than that (just about 1%). In contrast, people over 45 are likely to opt for it with 20%, double the number of those loving the other two.
