HIghest level of education of women in someland
The pie charts illustrate the highest education level of women in an area in two years (1945 and 1995). Units are measured in percentage.
Overall, there was a sharp increase in the education level of women in the area over the period given. Specifically, the largest numbers of women graduated third grade or never attended school in 1945 whereas most women finished year 12, first degree, or postgraduate in 1995. In addition, the lowest levels of education of women were no schooling, third grade, and year 6 at the beginning of the period whilst the lowest education level of women in 1995 was much higher, year 9.
The percentage of women who already finished third grade or not attending school was 35%, represented a total of 70% of the number of women in 1945. Conversely, first degree comprised of 50% whilst year 12 and postgraduate each accounted for 20% of the education level of women in 1995.
On the other hand, the education level of women has seen an upward trend. Indeed, a significant number of women has dropped out of school after third grade (35%) and grade 6 (i.e., 15%) in 1945. Notably, up to 35% of women have never attended school in 1945. In contrast, there were no women who reported these education levels (third grade, grade 6, and no schooling) in 1995.
