The best way for a society to prepare its young people for leadership in government, industry, or other fields is by instilling in them a sense of cooperation, not competition.
Youth is the builder of our future society. Cooperation and competition is the two sides of a coin. To be a youth leader in government, industry, or other fields society can train it's youth generation by establishing the mentality to cooperate with others rather than compete with them. I agree with the given statement.
We are social being so it is impossible for us to live alone in an isolated place. In our journey we need help from other people to make our path smoother, to achieve our goal. For example, in the primitive society people who were expert in making cloths exchanged their goods with other expertise people and vice-versa. This trend is noticable still now. We buy goods with money what we cannot produce. This tendency to cooperate with each other helped people in the past and in the present too.
We are always in demand of future leaders which will rise among from the youth. For instance it can be said that in election one will be winning team and another will be opponent party. If extreme rivalry exist between two parties it will impede the country's progress. Only by working together with harmony long term success can come.
Moreover, different person has disperate abilities. For example male and female are different not only in their physical structure but also in their thoughts. While solving a problem, it might show more auspicious result if both work together than they are working distinctly with their own kind.
However, competition has also some beneficial impact on society. Without a zealous nature people might not feel motivated to explore new things which will eventually lag their country behind in progress. For instance, one of the top brands Apple always keep introducing new innovation to stay strong in the rat race of technology. Without a mentality of competition, it would be hard for them to stay on the top for a long time.
In conclusion, it can be said that though competition works as a catalyst in the progress of a society in governance, industrial and other sectors, extreme level of competition can be a deterrent too. So, i believe that the sense of cooperation in youth leaders can be the most effective way through which a society can get reach it's hayday.
