You work at home and have a problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job. Write a letter to the shop or company which supplied the equipment. In your letter
describe the problem with the equipment
explain how this problem is affecting your work
say what you want the shop or company to do
Dear Sir
I am writing this letter with regard to a problem with the computer keyboard that I ordered from your company two months ago. It is a latest hp model of QWERTY style, serial number AFX537.
The issue is with the space key, it is not working, therefore causing a very huge problem for me. I am a book writer and I have to use the keyboard for writing drafts, hence, the problem is hindering with my work.
In writing, spacing is very crucial to understand the document otherwise it’s completely unreadable, senseless collection of random letters. I have to deliver my drafts to the publishing company by the end of this month, but the improper functioning of the keyboard is causing a delay. I am unable to write anything, as it will be of no use without spaces between words.
Since, it has a warranty period of 6 months, the company should provide me with a new keyboard. Or it should send someone to my place to fix the issue as soon as possible. Immediate action is required in order for me to resume my work. Looking forward to hearing for you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Hank Miller
