The chart below gives information about global population percentages and distribution of wealth by region.
The bar chart presents data on the world's population proportions and distribution of global wealth in eight regions.
Overall, North America had the largest percentage share of wealth distribution amongst all the other regions. However, the global wealth and population distribution varied significantly in all the regions. China had the highest portion of global wealth compared to the other regions.
North America had the highest proportion of global wealth at approximately 34%, while, Africa and India both had the lowest percentage at about 1%. Meanwhile, Europe and Rich- Asia pacific were the second and third highest in global wealth at 30% and about 24% respectively.
Furthermore, China had the highest portion of global population at just under 25%, while Rich-Asia Pacific had the lowest percentage at 5%. Other Asia pacific and India regions had the same level proportion of global wealth at about 16%. More so, Europe followed closely at a global wealth of 15%.
