The table and pie chart give information about population in Australia according to different nationalities and areas

Essay topics:

The table and pie chart give information about population in Australia according to different nationalities and areas.

The given table and pie chart covers data on the percentage of people who live in the Australian countryside and cities coming from various nations.

Firstly as can be seen from the pie chart, Australian citizens account for 73% of the population in this country, which is ranked the first position. Among these people, 20% live in cities and the rest of them live in rural areas.

Other nationalities take up less than 20% of the population in Australia. The proportion of British people is 7%, which is 4% higher than that of New Zealanders. In comparison with these features, the percentages of Chinese and Dutch citizens in Australia are much lower: 2% and 1%, respectively. Lastly, other nationalities account for 14% of the population in the same country.

A more detailed look at the table reveals that other nationalities have the same inclination in choosing living areas as the Australian. A considerable proportion of people in Australia choose to live in cities, with 89% of British, 90% of New Zealanders, 99% of Chinese, and 83% of Dutch. In contrast, those who live in the countryside take up a significantly smaller percentage, at lower than 20%.

To conclude, in Australia, the most common nationality in the population is Australia. Besides, people from different countries prefer living in cities rather than in the countryside.
