The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and in 2010.
This essay will illustrate how the road to a city hospital changed in 2007 and after three years.
Overall, road access experienced considerable changes during the period shown. It is clear to see that the most noticeable differences between the two maps involve the expansion of car parking spaces and intersection upgrades.
From 2007 to 2010, the road was reconstructed significantly, mostly regarding to the appearance of two roundabouts. The first one was located between the ring road surrounding the hospital and the hospital road, while the other was built at the four-way intersection of the hospital road and the city road.
Turning to the other features, we can see that six bus stops along two sides of the hospital road were demolished to make way for a new bus station on the west of this road. In terms of expanding the car park, a public area was built on the east side of the ring road and the city hospital and the previous parking was erected for staff only.
