The best way to reduce poverty in developing countries is by giving up to six years of free education, so that they can at least read, write and use numbers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
The proposition of providing up to six years of free education as a solution to diminish poverty in some developing countries is a matter of paramount importance. Despite the significant role that basic education can play, I firmly believe that the effectiveness of this strategy is limited and should be complemented by more comprehensive and multifaceted measures.
On the one hand, it is evident that offering six years of education can establish a strong foundation and alleviate financial strain by equipping individuals with fundamental skills and knowledge. The ability to read, write, and use numbers empowers them to make informed decisions and engage in productive activities, which develops a sense of confidence and contributes positively to personal success and society. Additionally, giving six years of free education can alleviate the financial burden on families. As a result, education will be more accessible for marginalized communities, especially those who cannot afford their children's school fees, thereby breaking the cycle of poverty.
On the other hand, obviously, only one solution cannot holistically deal with the challenge of poverty. Primary education may lack the knowledge and skills needed in this rapid globalization and technological advancement. Thus, the government should extend subsidized education to secondary and higher levels, enhancing employability and equipping individuals for complex economic landscapes nowadays. Moreover, multifaceted solutions are necessitated for this deeply rooted issue. In my viewpoint, solely focusing on education may overlook other critical factors such as job opportunities, healthcare, better living conditions, and robust social safety nets so we should integrate a variety of methods of both education and real-life together as catalysts in order to foster and enrich potential personal careers more successfully.
In conclusion, while giving up to six years of free education is a commendable method, more comprehensive ways to reduce poverty in developing countries should be applied to deal with this matter in a more advantageous way.
