Petersburg Art Museum before and after renovations
The diagram illustrates a building sketch of old Petersburg Art Museum and after its renovation. Overall the main change to the Art Museum are new construction of cafeteria and a classroom which was demolished.
Old building had a lobby located next to the entrance door. The Building had 2 classrooms. The first was located next to the east of lobby, while the second was in the north-east. The Art Museum also had 2 museum rooms. The first one is ancient art room was located in the north of lobby, while the second (modern art room) was in the north of the first one. Additionally, there was a sculpture room in the east of modern art room.
After that, the building is renovated and have several changes. First, modern art gallery is expanded by relocated sculpture room to outside of museum building in the east of modern art gallery. Moreover, ancient art room also is expanded by removing the second classroom. However, a cafeteria is constructed to the east of ancient art room which located in the outside.
To conclude, the main change are expansion of 2 art rooms by relocated sculpture room and destroyed the second classroom. Additionally a new building was constructed too.
