The pie chart below shows the main reasons why students chose to study at a particular UK university in 1987 and in 2007. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparison where relevant.

The pie chart gives the information of the reasons for children’s decision to study at a particular
university in the UK over the period of 20 years.
Overall, it is obvious that the proportion of each reason have considerable changes through 2 years but
suitable degree courses always occupies the largest market share of reasons.
In 1987, the percentage of reasons of suitable degree courses was highest, at 35% and till 2007, it rose
slightly to 37% , almost two fifth. The same trend was also seen when ve looked at quality of teaching
,15% in 1987 increased to 18% in 2007 whereas there are the most significant climb of 12% in the
proportion of reason of close to parents over 20 years.
By contrast, the two other reasons experienced an downward trend in the percentage. While the
quantity of reaons of quaity of resources dropped sharply by 12% from aproximately a fifth, there was a
decrease in the good sports and social activities, which saw a fell by 4%
