Essay topics:

The table shows the export values of various products in 2009 and 2010.

The table illustrates the export values of five different products which were exported in two years 1997 and 2010.

Overall, there was an upward trend in the total amount of money from products which were exported, which was the result of the increase in the amount of equipment, telecommunity and metals. However, the earnings from exporting clothing and manufacturing saw a decline over this period of time/these 3 years.

In 1997, the equipment sold abroad was 10.3 billion, which accounted for nearly a third of overall earnings ($HK 32 billion), which became the highest earning, followed by telecommunity (with 7.9 billion). Over the next year, it increased to 11.6 billion, while the figure of telecommunity had a breakthrough, amounting to 12.7 billion, (become) becoming the highest earning in this year. Metals export values, despite lagging behind in 1997, had a double rise, hitting an all-time high of 5.1 billion. The figures of clothing and manufacturing were quite similar, standing at 6 million and 5.5 million in 1997 respectively and dropped to 5 million and 4 million in 2010.
