Some people think that the government should ban dangerous sports, but others think that people should have freedom to do whatever sport activities they choose. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
These days, people support having more freedom to choose or activities they want to participate in, while many others argue that dangerous sports should be banned. In this essay, I will discuss both views and give my opinion below.
On the one hand, there are several reasons to ban extreme sports. Firstly, one of the most popular reasons is that dangerous sports can harm lives. Participating in extreme sports may cause severe injuries and brain damage. Some sports such as climbing and skiing are not only physically demanding but also very hazardous. Secondly, it affects child safety. Banning dangerous sports for children can be justified for child protection. Children may not have the maturity to understand the risks involved in such activities, and parents may not have the knowledge or resources to ensure their safety.
On the other hand, there are also reasons to play dangerous sports. To start with, people have personal freedom. Individuals should have the right to participate in whatever sports activities they choose, even if they are risky or dangerous. As an example, if someone or a group wanted to climb Everest mountain, a ban could not be implemented because it would compromise personal freedoms and limit people's freedom to pursue their interests and passions. Another reason is education and training. Instead of banning extreme sports, it may be more effective to provide education and practice to help participants understand the risks. This can help ensure that individuals are making informed decisions and taking responsibility for their own safety.
In conclusion, it cannot be argued that banning extreme sports is an effective idea. Citizens have to consider before deciding to avoid injury they do not want.
