The Chart below shows the expenditure of two countries on consumer goods in 2010.
The chart discloses the expenditure by French and British on five commodities used by a consumer of two prevalent countries France and the UK in the year 2010.
As a whole, in the provided time period, the UK spent more money on consumer goods than France. Combined expenditure of British and French on cars tends to be higher whilst the minimal amount of funds was spent on perfume in the UK compared to cameras in France. It can be observed that the most significant difference in expenses amongst the two countries was on cameras.
With reference to the UK, expenditure on cars was around 450,000 which was the highest compared to France (at 400,000). Likewise, expenses on books were about 400,000 positioning it to be in the second, a step before expenditure on cameras which was around 350000. Comparing it to French, money spent on books was about 300,000 and expenses on cameras was less than half of the UK (150000) which shows vast variation.
In contrast, expenditure on remaining goods was greater in France. More than 350000 was spent by French on computers which accounts to be insignificant than the British who spent precisely 350000. Neither of the nations has higher expenditure on perfume with just 200000 expenses by French and under 150000 spent by the UK.
