It can be seen that the highest figures of carbon dioxide emissions were always in the United Kingdom, but the statistics in this country tended to decrease continuously. In contrast, the numbers in Italy and Portugal increased dramatically.
To be more specific, the figure of carbon dioxide emissions per person in the UK was almost 11 tonnes, which was the highest. However, this number grew down over the years, with just 9 tonnes in 2007. Moreover, the statistics in Sweden reached the peak in 1977, with nearly 11 tonnes, which was almost two times higher than this country’s figure in 1997.
According to the line chart, the statistics of carbon dioxide in Portugal were always lowest. The figure in Portugal in 1967 was approximately 2 ton while the number in Italy at the same time was two times less than. Additionally, the statistics in Portugal and Italy increased continuously, from more than 2 tonnes and 6 tonnes in 1977 to 6 tonnes and 8 tonnes in 2007 correspondingly.
