Essay topics:

The bar chart below shows the percentage of government spending on roads and transport in 4 countries in the years 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005.

The chart illustrates the amount of finance paid on transportation problems by the governments of four nations, namely Italia, Portugal, the UK, and the USA over the period of 15 years from 1990 to 2005.
What stands out from the chart is that except for the United States, the amount of spending on transportation and roads of the three countries in the European region tended to decrease over the years. However, Portugal was still the most focused country on this issue. => Good!
During the past 15 years, in Europe, the percentage of finance used for road and traffic problems in the UK and Italy has fluctuated, increasing substantially in 2000, decreasing sharply in 2005 and declining by nearly 5% compared to 1990. In addition, the level of Portugal’s spending on transport showed a downward trend, this saw a significant fall to 20%, about 7% less than 15 years ago.
In the same years, the US was the only nation that continued to grow investment in transportation. In Detail, from 1990 to 1995, although there was a slight decrease in the amount of investment by nearly 2%, over ten years the figure rose from 10% in 1995 to 15%.
