After three years, the number of retail outlets opening witnessed a slight rise to roughly 6,000 and returned to the same figure in 2012. From 2015 onward, there was no change in the number of shops opening and ended with the figure being recorded at 3,000 in the final year.
Concerning the quantity of closed shops, its figure started the lower period with 6,500 in 2011, after which saw a fluctuation ranging from 6,000 to 6,400 in the period of 3 years from 2012 to 2014.
