Dear Rodrigo,
First of all, let me ask you how have you been doing? We was not able to talk much since our last meeting after the vacation. Well, I am pleased that you came to me with this important matter about attend to college or look for a job.
To begin with, I think colleges are a waste of money and time nowadays because you spend nearly 4 years to get a degree by watching classes you may not like as part of a scheduled and also have to pay the student loans. For example, do you remeber Carlos our classmate in the senior year? He was accepted in a very prestigious college but, unfortunately, he do not posses enough money for the whole course, so he got a loan with a harmful interest to pay after the graduation.
In addition, if you focus in enter into the job market and start early in a profession, you will get experience to reach for higher positions in the company; despite your age you are eager for knowledge and you will not say no to any task that might be given to you. Maybe this can be an excellent counterweight to your lack of background.
Although you wish to start in a good profession and with a nice paycheck, I hope you consider lower positions in the companies at this very moment like an assistant, help desk, support in a call center or even an internship during the holidays. My father have great connections and he could help you to arange some meetings in your behalf.
Therefore, I cannot wait to receive your replay on this topic to assist you as soon as possible.
Kind regards,
Mathew
