The map below shows the changes that have taken place at the waterfront area of a town called Darwin between 2009 and 2014.
The maps illustrate the development of the waterfront area of a town called Darwin over 5 years from 2009.
Overall, the area experienced considerable changes during the period shown. The most noticeable difference between the two maps is The appearance of more trees and the expansion of housing area from 2009 to 2014.
During the 5-year period, the school and the convention center located in the northwest of the waterfront area remained unchanged. Similarly, the fishing area on the right top and the lake to the east of the center still existed. In 2014, the third swimming pool was constructed on the original site of the industrial site area next to the lake. The other two old pool still lied along the circular path in the roughly of the map.
Turning to the remaining features, we can see that more footpaths were built in 2014, two of which lead off the circular path to give access to a new university located in the south of Darwin and the other led to a new harbor along the seafront. Between 2009 and 2014, the large industrial area taking up the majority of the land from the middle to the bottom of Darwin was demolished to make way for more houses and trees.
