The charts show average levels of participation in education and the highest education level of adults from 2000 to 2010 in Singapore.
The charts demonstrate the average time both genders in Singapore in the period of 2000 to 2010 spent at school and the percentage of people participating in different levels of education divided into 5 qualifications from primary school to highschool, university and master.
Overall, the schooling time of men is longer than women and the number of both slightly rose every year. In the pie chart, there was one fourth of the pie of adults involved in primary school in 2000. However, in 2010, it is rarely seen adults in this level of learning. In 2010 compared to 2000, the percentage of graduates at the university level and at the master's level increased significantly.
It is observed that the number of school years spent by men was higher than the number of school years spent by women. Although both males and females increased during this period, the number of school years occupied by women has been stable for the first few years and began to rise since 2004. In the pie chart, the percent of matures attending primary school decreased dramatically about 12 times, from over 25% in 2000 to only 2.1% in 2010. Higher education quadrupled its figure from 2000 to 2010, and both university and master's degrees represented about one third of the pie. The remaining 2 qualifications, secondary school and high school, experienced a stable rise of 10% each over the whole period.
